Thanksgiving

well the year has passed haha,
but still just wanna have a thanksgiving for 2008

well i rmb the days of the H3 that marked the start of the year.
weariness, sianness, shocked and afraid...
The bus rides to TJC/VJC were mostly our nap times haha...
Just thankful for pkh, whose presence encouraged me because i knew i wasnt alone trying to balance loads of CCA work and h3 and school at the same time,
cp for being a buddy who rides 31 home with me after each h3
and cheryl for her nonsense lol..
Yes, i wont forget the days when we tried to finish our report.
All of us became quite "sot" after that, and of course fell asleep in lesson
Hopefully we all do well amidst the strong competition hehe..

Then came the concert,
an unforgettable one i must say.
Musical plus concert.
Feel honored to have such a nice batch in band.
We played well, yea i believe we play really well.
Our "Whatsoever Things" is just superb man..
cheers, laughters and tears marked the end of the peice haha..
I'm proud to be a band member of such a wonderful band haha,
and of course thankful for each and every band member that contributed
his and her heart and soul into every single note that we performed :)

well, it was in 2008 that I began to appreciate my class.
Though it marked the start of seperation into millions of groups,
i still managed to get to know more about some of them,
esp towards the exams haha..
There's the stupid "royal beings", Mr. FAT and more...
ah yes, towards the exams, school was more of a socialising centre than school haha...
We just came school for the sake of talking to one another :P

Then it should be the Cambodia trip already.
I'm really touched by their sincere hearts to mantain a simple friendship,
and their hunger to learn English and many more...
Never will i get 7 miss calls from any Singaporean friend haha...
(If i do, usually a "wtf" msg will follow LOL)
And though there are some communication barriers,
they still try their best to communicate with us,
and send us greetings via sms or calls during different occasions.
Panha, Pisey, Nita and etc...
Man I really miss you guys,
and I thank God for you guys man.
I will return, so wait for me! Haha

And of course i wanna thank God for providing for me.
The bookprize was unexpected for me, really haha.
Just slapped into my face out of nowhere :P
And all the happy things above wouldnt be possible without God's guidance and direction.
So ultimately, after thanking different people, THANK YOU GOD!

(and you, the reader for taking time off to read something liddat which i wont :P)

well, I don't think i will continue blogging from now on.
Maybe big and significant events i will,
other than that, i'll just record all the other things in my little notebook :o)

So, if you wanna know anything,
just drop me a message.
I'll gladly reply, i hope haha..

well for the mission trip,
i really enjoyed myself.
Made really good friends.
I was also super amazed by their hunger to learn
and them taking pride in whatever they learn.
I was just sooo fascinated..
They're just so simple and receptive...
I really like Camby people :o)
I was just so sad when we had to leave...
And i really had a hard time adjusting back to Singapore lifestyle,
after staying 12 days in Camby.
Some of my friends would know what i mean by adjusting...
Just so lost when i came back...
haha...
I'm still recovering now.

Well, i'm not gonna work before army.
Decided to do something more meaningful..
Helping with HealthServe.
You can go find out what it is yourself :P
If you wanna help, you can help me by praying...
Just help me ask God to provide something for my travelling expenses...
sigh, my outflow of money will increase cos of travelling costs...
God i just pray that you'll please provide =

sigh, i really miss Camby...
Some photos are on facebook...
lazy to post here :P
Just in case you wonder why i changed my name,
a kid called me that in Camby...
haha... funny little guy

Cambodia...

Each time i hear "who am i" now, it makes me really sad...
i miss Cambodia..
The friendships we made are so so strong man,
though we only knew each other for 12 days...

dusty winds,
roads buzzing with sounds of motor bikes,
mee char, bai char, takaloug?
sigh... i only can revisit my dear friends in 1-2 years time...
most probably 2 years time..

Everyday was spent going to church,
playing basketball,
playing random games,
teaching dances,
and teaching English for the youths.

once in a while, we would walk to the riverside,
or to be specific, a park, cos riverside was so far..
and we played Smackdown there,
which was a combination of wrestling and catching with different teams..

i wont forget the experience of driving a motor on my own,
and almost crashing into a drain,
and nearly killing my best friend and James lol...
Eventually i did manage to drive it properly..
and i was so scared, yet glad..

Really thank God for this mission trip.
Though we may not fulfill the CoR's objectives of outreaching,
ieach and every one of us at a personal level has gained alot from this trip,
and of course forged unbreakable friendships..
i really love the simple minded people there..

I love you Cambodia, and i'll be back... :o)
